Dwayne W. Smith

Dwayne Smith represents individuals in family law disputes, ranging from uncontested divorces to those involving substantial assets, complex asset tracing, the valuation and division of privately-held businesses, and child custody issues. His focus in every case is helping his clients maintain their children, assets, and relationships through and after the divorce process. Dwayne is utterly dedicated to his clients and finds personal satisfaction in helping to pave a clear road for their future success.

In addition to family-law cases, Dwayne also represents clients in a variety of civil cases involving breach of contract, personal injury, will contests, and the DTPA. He has represented numerous client in lawsuits brought by Joe Hand Promotions and J&J Sports Productions under the Federal Communications Act (47 U.S.C. § 605 and 47 U.S.C. § 553). He has a perfect record of resolving those cases on his clients’ preferred terms.

When Dwayne is not in the office, he spends as much time as possible with his wife and two young children. They travel as often as they can, and, as someone once said, he really enjoys the sound of a well-hit golf ball.
